Arc Resistant and Non-Arc Resistant Equipment

Designed with your safety in mind.

Safety as Top Priority

Safety is a key decision when choosing electrical equipment. CESI can offer you equipment rated for both ARC Resistant and Non-ARC resistant depending on your Arc Flash design philosophies and applications.

Getting from out in front of your Non-ARC resistant switchgear is an option using SMART switchgear that utilizes relays, monitoring equipment, and remote racking capabilities. While non-arc resistant equipment may be standard, when it comes to the safety of your employees and your equipment, choosing arc-resistant equipment is a very logical and responsible choice. Depending on your projects requirements CESI can offer Medium Voltage Arc Resistant equipment rated all the way up to 15 kV, 63kA with a 4000A ratings tested per the IEEE C37.20.7 standard. A short list of features includes 2 high construction, universal spare circuit breakers, closed door racking, UL or C-UL listings, 3 cycle ratings and flexible exhaust location options. We have options for close coupling 63kA ARC Resistant Switchgear and 63kA ARC Resistant Motor Control. Let’s discuss the benefits of this on your next project.

Your design doesn’t typically stop at the Medium Voltage level. CESI has a full line of capabilities that cover the 480V low voltage switchgear as well. We start off with UL listed, performance tested and classified arc resistant C37.20.7 switchgear with main breaker and bus ratings up to 6000A, four high stacked power circuit feeder breakers, and insulated/isolated bus bars are available with either Non Arc Resistant or Arc Resistant 2B construction. Contact CESI to also discuss switchgear options such as Zone Selective Interlocking, High Resistance Grounding and dual parameter trip unit settings to increase safety on your switchgear.

While arc resistance for Low Voltage Motor Control is relatively new to the electrical industry, CESI has the options and ratings that will fit your project needs. A few highlights include automatic shutters, internal venting, the option for Main Lug Only instead of using main breakers, and utilizing 6” buckets in arc-resistant construction.

Our Process

We construct large electrical integrated packages that include anything from power distribution centers (also known as Electrical Equipment Enclosures, Power Control Rooms, E-Houses, Relay and Control Enclosures, Modular Buildings) Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear, Medium and Low Voltage Motor Control, all available in Arc Resistant or Non-Arc Resistant construction or design. Relay panels and, batteries, UPS systems, bus duct, cable bus, transforms–you name it.

We work with customers that require multiple products from various trusted manufacturers. We are not focused on selling a specific manufacturer; instead, we are focused on selling the best product solution that meets the customer’s needs. Our extensive list of vendors and our ability to package allows us to do just that.

Project Manage

Project management is a vital part of the process. In order to make your experience with CES Integration as seamless as possible, we get our expert project managers involved from the beginning. The CESI project manager is your conduit for all of your project needs, from technical, commercial, logistics, field service to documentation. They’ll oversee your project from start to finish as they guide your team through the process and around the pitfalls.

“We gauge success by repeat business and long term relationships. We achieve success by treating people the way we want to be treated while making a very complex process easier for our customers and vendors.” – CESI Mission Statement

We recognize that our industry is technical and requires project managers who know about each step in the process. Our team of project managers comes from many different backgrounds and each brings a unique skill set to the team. Each project manager is experienced, reliable, excellent at communication and problem solving, and is equipped to handle a variety of different types of equipment.
